About us
Founded in the 19th century, but ready to
welcome you today! Since the PORZELLANEUM was founded by Archduke Rainer of
Austria in 1874, it has been our main objective to offer
young people a cosy home in the centre of a vibrant city.
Over the years we have become a meeting place for students
from all over the world, who have always been united by a
strong sense of community. If you would like to convince yourself of our hospitability
and cosmopolitanism, you are welcome to do so during our
hotel season from the beginning of July to the end of
September. Should you be looking for a home far from home, we would
like to welcome you at our hotel. While managing Vienna´s oldest Hall of Residence, we are
fully aware of its responsibility towards the environment as
well as our guests. This is the principle we put into
practice every day. PORZELLANEUM – we will be your home far from home!
